Midday Ride
Nice study break cruising the trail. Kinda windy out and my legs didn’t feel at sync at all. Maybe I will do some one-legged-spinning to clean things up a bit since my right side feels a little better than my left. Maybe it’s some residual bone strain issue. Oh well. Splits: 9:41 (139/225), 31:13 (154/167), 28:00 (158/169), 9:56 (129/145). Can’t remember if I did PT afterwards or not.

Quick 4 miler
Long day today. Up at five, started doing some work by 7, put in a real effort from 8-9:15, followed by 5hrs of volunteering, then another 4.75hrs from 2:30-7:15. The run was brisk and though the leg still has some lingering sensation. Ran into a buddy of mine who ran a 17:11 this past weekend, not bad. PT afterwards 20 pull, 30 push, 30 flutters. Peace!

Commuting Miles (4/21-4/27)
Good mileage on the commuter this week, due largely to a ~30M day on Friday traveling back and forth to school twice, out to one of the parks for a festival and then to my sister’s for dinner. Don’t know how my non-commuting miles turned out but probably less than this!

Sluggish
After spending about 7.5hrs studying pharmacology in anticipation of my SHELF exam this thursday, I headed to the gym eager to get a sweat going. My body, on the other hand, was ready for a break. The past couple of days have been pretty relaxed workout-wise because of my genetics test on Friday and the downpour yesterday. Plus, I just haven’t felt totally fresh. This session was long and tough, but I guess that comes with the territory and I’ll be thankful for the results in a few weeks. Here’s how it went:
- 4 sets of 2, 4, 6, 8, 10 pull-ups (regular, reverse, close and wide grip)
- 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 push-ups
- 30, 25, 20, 15, 10 dips
- 25, 20, 15, 10, 5 8-count body builders
- 40 yes/no’s (though i split this during the recovery of the 8CBB’s)
- 2 ab super sets of 100 leg levers, 100 flutters, 100 sit-ups.
- The leg levers were the only ones I was able to get through without stopping. I broke the flutters and sit-ups into sets of 50 with 30″ recoveries.
Afterwards I did some quick running on the treadmill because my hips were feeling like they needed to move after sitting all day. I noticed that during the super set because normally I do my PT after my run so I’m a little warmed up. Maybe I’ll ride the bike for 5′ beforehand next time to help loosen up a bit.
